Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi has discussed with the Turkish Ambassador to Yemen Levent Eller the preparations a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Contact Group on Yemen in Istanbul next April.

Al-Mekhlafi expressed Yemen's interest in in the participation of OIC member countries and international organizations to help secure a political process in Yemen.

He hailed the Turkish support to the Yemeni government. He said it is important that the international community exercises pressure on the rebel militia and take a firm stance to force them to respond to peace overtures.

The Turkish Ambassador affirmed his country's support for the government and people of Yemen.
