Yemeni-Cuban ties and cooperation discussed

Yemen's ambassador to Cuba Mohammed Saleh Nasher met Friday with the Director General of International Cooperation in the Cuban Ministry of External Trade and Foreign Investment Reseal Rodriguez.

Nasher discussed with the Cuban official different topics related of common interest and the distinguished Yemeni-Cuban bilateral relations and cooperation.

The ambassador explained underway efforts have been exerted by the Yemeni legitimate government headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansor Hadi in order to bring about durable and comprehensive peace in Yemen.

The meeting also touched upon the Humanitarian Response Plan of 2018 sponsored by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition for restoring legality in Yemen.

Nasher cited the difficult humanitarian circumstances that Yemeni people have been struggling with as a result of the war triggered by Iran-backed Houthi militia against the legitimate Yemeni government.

The Cuban official showed solidarity with the Yemeni legal government and sympathy with the Yemeni peoples, highly praising the Yemeni-Cuban relations.
