Yemen welcomes appointment of OCHA's new coordinator

Aden (Saba)- Local Administration Minister Abdul-Raqeeb Fatah has welcomed the appointment of Mark Luke as a coordinator for Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen.
In a remark to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Fatah called the new UN official to inspect the humanitarian situation in Yemen and tragic disasters caused by the war carried out by the Houthi-Saleh militias against the Yemeni people.
Fatah, who is also on charge of the Higher Relief Committee, further said that the new UN official will have considerable tasks in Yemen, asserting that the Higher Relief Committee will operate to facilitate the UN official to perform his tasks appropriately.
He further noted that the Higher Relief Committee will coordinate with all the UN organizations in order to deliver humanitarian assistances and relief to all Yemeni people across all Yemeni governorates.
He emphasized that the Yemeni government praises all efforts exerted to deliver relief to all Yemeni people and does best to provide facilities to all organizations working in the field of relief.
