Maj. General al-Zubaidi underlines Yemen's need for Chinese assistance to develop electricity services

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi highlighted the Yemen's need for the Chinese expertise to contribute toward developing sustainable solutions to the problems of electricity.

He voiced his remark during his talks today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Chargé d' Affairs of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Yemen Shao Cheng.

The talks covered the possible means and mechanisms the People's Republic of China can offer to help the Yemeni government to develop the electricity sector.

The two sides also discussed the role of the Chinese friends can play in sustaining the Yemeni government's efforts to modernize the seaports and to support the agriculture, fishery, health and education sectors as well as to increase China's support for Yemen in capacity building in different areas.

The Chinese diplomat stated that his country is willing to continue to provide the humanitarian aid, broaden joint cooperation and increase trade businesses between the two friendly countries.
