Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, met with representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Aden to discuss the implementation mechanisms for water and environment projects.
The meeting focused on adopting standard implementation mechanisms endorsed by the UNDP for projects funded by the World Bank. Al-Sharjabi emphasized the importance of prior coordination and clear roles between government agencies and implementing partners to ensure sustainable impact.
He stressed the need for adherence to national procedures and standards during project implementation. The minister reiterated the ministry's commitment to facilitating development projects through an integrated approach that enhances performance effectiveness and achieves desired outcomes.
