The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Yemen demands Turkey release female student

Aden, (Saba) - The government is closely following up the issue of the Yemeni female student held at Turkish authorities and " is exerting every possible efforts- via diplomatic channels- to release her and unearth reasons of her arrest ," said an authorized government source.

" Prime Minister Ahmad Ubaid bin Daghr- on the basis of President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi's directives- issued orders to Foreign Minister Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi to quickly follow up the issue to find out a just solution to the problems of the arrested student and other Yemeni students in Turkey as soon as possible," added the source.

The source expressed hope that the issue will be solved soon on the bases of brotherly relations between Yemen and Turkey on both formal and popular levels and joint coordination in solving difficulties or problems facing Yemenis there.
