The Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Mohammed Bamqaa discussed with the U.S. Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin strengthening bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership in the fields of mining and energy.
Minister Bamqaa reviewed a map of promising investment opportunities in the oil and minerals sector, emphasizing that the government places great importance on providing an attractive environment and quality facilities for global investment companies, in a way that positively supports the national economy.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to enhance technical assistance and activate expertise exchange programs with the U.S. side, particularly in utilizing modern technology for geological exploration and the development of oil fields, ensuring improved production efficiency and optimal use of natural resources.
For his part, the U.S. Ambassador affirmed his country’s continued support for the efforts of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals aimed at developing the infrastructure of this sector.
He praised the reforms and steps being taken by the ministry in opening new horizons for investments in this field.
