Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Dr. Anwar al-Mahri discussed Monday with the Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Yemen Abdulsattar Issaov ways to strengthen cooperation and implement programs and projects supporting Yemen’s technical education and vocational training sector.

The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Adel al-Tuhaish and IOM Aden Office Director Muhannad al-Rubaie, addressed the projects and activities implemented by the organization in Yemen, as well as opportunities to expand areas of cooperation in a manner that contributes to improving technical and vocational skills in line with labor market needs.

Minister al-Mahri emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership and effective cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, in ways that would positively contribute to the development of the technical education and vocational training sector.

He also discussed a number of needs and priorities where the organization could intervene and provide support, including strengthening the infrastructure of training institutions, developing educational and training programs, and improving the efficiency pace with economic and development changes.
