Governor Issues Urgent National, Humanitarian Appeal to Lift Siege on Taiz
Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan issued an urgent national and humanitarian appeal on Sunday, calling for national and international action to address the Houthi escalation and its humanitarian consequences, lift the siege imposed on the governorate for 12 years and secure essential supplies for millions of residents amid worsening shortages of food, medicine and fuel.

Leadership Council Member al-Khanbashi Reviews Situation at Immigration Authority

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Governor of Hadramout Salem al-Khanbashi reviewed Sunday in the city of Mukalla the current situation of the Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority, its level of performance and its needs.

This came during a meeting with the Authority’s President, Major General Dr. Tariq al-Nasi in the presence of the Director of the Authority’s Coastal Hadramout Branch, Brigadier Fahmi Balkudish.

The meeting discussed the situation of the Authority’s branches in Coastal and Wadi Hadramout, ways to improve the services provided to citizens and measures to facilitate and expedite the processing of transactions.

Discussions also covered the latest developments regarding the decision to regularize the status of Yemeni expatriates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting also addressed the situation at border crossings, procedures related to visa issuance, and the main difficulties and challenges affecting the Authority’s operations.

Participants discussed ways to strengthen coordination among the relevant entities to facilitate procedures, improve operational efficiency, and provide services to citizens in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Al-Khanbashi stressed the importance of improving the performance of the Authority’s branches in Hadramout and addressing the obstacles hindering their work, in a manner that meets citizens’ needs and contributes to enhancing the quality of services provided to them.
