ADEN - SABA
The Republic of Yemen participated today, Sunday, in the meeting of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in its 165th Ordinary Session held via video conference.

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mostafa Noaman contributed to the discussions about the repercussions of targeting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a number of Arab countries due to Iranian aggressions.

Noaman stated that the ongoing Iranian aggressions represent a serious shift in the pattern of Iranian behavior, from relying on proxies to engaging in direct confrontations targeting Arab countries.

He reiterated the full solidarity of the Republic of Yemen with the Arab countries that have been subjected to these aggressions, particularly the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

These attacks constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the rules of good neighborliness, and an unacceptable assault on the sovereignty of states and the unity of their territories, Noaman stressed.

The Vice Foreign Minister cited the situation in Yemen as a clear example of the consequences of Iranian interventions through sponsoring the Houthi militias, resulted in a deep humanitarian and economic crisis and the collapse of state institutions.

He stated that this behavior includes a systematic aggression with premeditated intentions, using Arab lands in an unacceptable way as a means of pressure in conflicts and an unprecedented escalation from shadow warfare through militias to direct military attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
