RIYADH – SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, on Wednesday received the Ambassador of the French Republic to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, to discuss recent developments in Yemen, the path toward stability, and prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The meeting reviewed political, security, and economic developments, as well as ongoing efforts to normalize conditions in liberated governorates, consolidate security and stability, and improve the delivery of basic services. These efforts, Dr. al-Alimi noted, are essential to enhancing public confidence in state institutions and local authorities and alleviating citizens’ suffering.
Dr. al-Alimi stressed that the national priority is to restore the effectiveness of state institutions, maintain security, combat terrorism, and form a government of national competencies capable of shouldering responsibility for confronting current challenges.
He also underscored the importance of strengthening coordination and integration among various military and security forces, as a prelude to a unified national effort aimed at restoring the state and extending its authority across the entire country.
