Israeli settlers forcibly entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem today, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, performing provocative tours and Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.

The settlers' incursion comes amid escalated Israeli restrictions on Palestinian worshippers including tightened checkpoints and spatial/temporal divisions aimed at altering Al-Aqsa Mosque's status.

Israeli authorities have been imposing harsh measures on Palestinian residents of Jerusalem, sparking widespread condemnation of their attempts to undermine the mosque's Islamic character and sovereignty.
