Information Minister, Muammer al-Eryani, has said the Houthi militia is covering up the murder of Dr. Wafa al-Makhlafi in Sana'a, claiming they swiftly distorted facts to conceal their involvement.
Al-Eryani stated the militia's account of the crime, released over 72 hours after the incident, contradicted eyewitness testimony and omitted motives and identities of the actual perpetrators.
He added that Houthi forces detained the victim's cousin and three family members, seized her body and car, in an attempt to intimidate the family into silence and adopt the militia's false narrative.
