The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Demining Project in Yemen, known as "MASAM" managed to remove 4,735 landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and explosive devices since the beginning of August until the 29th, all planted by the Iranian-regime backed Houthi terrorist militias regime.
The Operations Room of the MASAM reported in a press release published by the project's media office today, Sunday, that the deminers removed 4,532 of UXO, 164 anti-tank mines since the beginning of the month.
Last week they managed to remove 968 of landmines, UXO and explosive devices, including 925 UXO, 32 anti-tank and 4 anti-personnel landmines and7 explosive devices. The total area cleared from the beginning of August until the 29th of the month is 1,048,135 square meters.
The Director General of the "MASAM" Osama al-Qusaibi announced that the engineering teams have successfully removed 512,323 of landmines, UXO and improvised explosive devices since the project started at the end of June 2018, until August 29 of this year.
Al-Quseibi affirmed 350,086 UXO, 147,121 anti-tank and 6,844 anti-personnel landmines as well as 8,272 explosive devices were removed during the same period.
