Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, honored Director of the Russian Institute of Oriental Studies, Professor Vitaly Naumkin, with the Medal of Merit in Literature and Arts.

This prestigious award recognizes Naumkin's outstanding contributions to the fields of science, culture, and in-depth studies on Yemeni and Arab affairs.

Al-Alimi expressed his high appreciation for Naumkin's research and scientific contributions, highlighting his role in promoting Arab and Islamic culture and spreading values of tolerance and coexistence among civilizations and peoples.

He also praised Naumkin's valuable research on Yemeni affairs, the history of southern Arabia, and his qualitative archaeological studies on Socotra Island and its unique cultural heritage.
