Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak stressed the pivotal role of women's training in leading advocacy to strengthen the status and role of women as effective and essential partners in development, and instilling awareness among women of the important roles they can play in national issues, including the fight against corruption.

The Prime Minister, upon receiving the President and members of the Yemeni Women's Union - Aden, today, Thursday, in the interim capital, Aden, emphasized the importance of the national role of this unique union, which has accumulated experience in civil work dating back to the 1960s.

He directed the relevant ministries and agencies to work to preserve the role of this non-governmental organization, benefit from its activities both locally and internationally, and maintain its continued status as a beacon and voice for civil work.

Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak also directed the Small Projects Unit at the Ministry of Industry and Trade to coordinate with banks and the Union to establish income-generating projects to improve living conditions.

He emphasized the crucial role of women's training in being part of the government-led reform process and in raising community awareness among a significant segment of society, namely women, about the culture of combating corruption and promoting transparency and accountability.

The Prime Minister was briefed by the President and members of the Yemeni Women's Union - Aden on the Union's situation and the efforts it is making to affirm its role in supporting women and their issues, the challenges they face, and the burdens they bear under the current circumstances.
