Minister of Water and Environment Engineer Tawfiq Sharjabi discussed sunday with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross, led by Kijun the ongoing preparations for a workshop aimed at launching the general framework for the water sector development plan in the city of Aden.

Water minister discusses with UNDP Integrative Water Management Project

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed on Tuesday with the Head of Climate Change, Water and Environment Sector in UNDP Salio Tursi and Director of Integrative Water Management Project in the organization implementation of Integrative Water Resources Management.

The project is being implemented in Delta Tuban Basin and targets four districts in Lahj and Taiz governorates.
The meeting discussed the hydraulic study for the project and sustainable livelihoods to citizens.

Al-Sharjabi confirmed importance of partnership between the ministry and the organization, pointing out to the importance of the project for the service it will provide to the society and harvesting rainwater.

For his part, the UN official expressed appreciation of the organization to the leadership of the ministry of water and environment and its continuous cooperation to implement the organization's plans and programs in Yemen.
