King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a cooperation agreement with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to involve Yemeni women in solar-related project in Hadhramaut and Lahj governorates.
The $2,255,000 deal comprises small projects to empower women in manufacturing and marketing solar-powered household appliances such as lanterns, stoves and traditional ovens (tanour), in addition to providing vocational training programs for 375 women on the use of solar energy and life and business skills. The project will benefit 21,375 women
