The United Nations Security Council today unanimously approved the renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) for another year.
The vote on the extension, which is annual and after the mission's mission was scheduled to end next Saturday, comes weeks after the escalation launched by the Israeli entity army on southern Lebanon, the most violent in ten months amid fears of the expansion of the current crisis into a regional conflict that everyone warns of its repercussions.
