Yemen participates in second regional review of the Global Compact for Safe Migration

Yemen participated in the second regional review of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in the Arab Region, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital today. The event was chaired by the Permanent Representative of Yemen to the Arab League Riyadh al-Akbari.

In a presentation, al-Akbari touched on the challenges of migration to Yemen, and the various aspects of this phenomenon, stressing that Yemen will spare no effort in contributing to the effective implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.

He calle for intensifying assistance to Yemen in these circumstances the country is going through. He expressed Yemen's welcome to active participation in dialogues, workshops, studies and exchange of experiences within the framework of the regional review of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration
