Water minister discusses with Samaritan's Purse implementing projects in Aden

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Monday with the team of Samaritan's Purse Organization document of the organization's interventions of improving water supply to Buraiqa District through rehabilitating eight wells and installing water pump and other equipment with the cost of USD 270 thousand.

The meeting touched upon accomplishment's level in the project of rehabilitating Yafouq Water Project Bani Hammad District, rehabilitating Hazaman Water Project and al-Akhmour Water Project in Taiz Province.

For their part, the organization's team touched upon a number of projects in partnership with water and sanitation sector.

In the same context, Minister al-Sharjabi discussed with Deputy Executive Director of Social Fund for Development Wesam Qaed constructing al-Barzakh Water Tank in Aden with capacity of 18 thousand cubic meter with the total cost of USD 3.8 million funded by Germany and Netherland.

The two parties also discussed constructing water tank project in Hadid Mountain for supplying nearby districts with secure water.
