Yemen, Russia discuss enhancing economic relations
Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Said al-Shammasi discussed Tuesday with Vasily Gubarev, Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Mission to Yemen, ways to develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries to achieve mutual interests and open wider horizons for joint cooperation.

President al-Alimi receives Gavi delegation

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Tuesday here the delegation of Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (Gavi) Anne Cronin with attendance of representatives for UNICEF and World Health Organization.

During the meeting, President al-Alimi praised support provided by the alliance, especially in combating diseases and pandemics and enhancing capabilities of the Yemeni health system by series of cooling means needed in all provinces.

He also praised national health institution and its medical crews in different facilities and provinces and praised its ability in saving souls despite difficult conditions over Iran-backed Houthi militia's war.

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council directed the government to provide different forms of support to make the national vaccination campaign- to be launched on 23 of this September- successful and ensuring its access to all targeted children.

The meeting touched upon partnership fields with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization and success achieved in this field, especially getting rid of polio in liberated provinces.

The meeting pointed out to exerting pressure on Houthi militia to end its ban on life-saving vaccines and enabling vaccination team to reach areas under the militia's control to provide vaccines to different types of diseases and pandemics.
