Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Saturday with the Delegation of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development support to Yemen in field of enhancing national economic survival and capacity building of economic institutions.
The meeting, which comes on the sidelines of the workshop on capacity building and institutional improvement hosted by Saudi Program for Yemen's Development and Reconstruction with wide participation by Yemen's regional and international partners, touched upon the big project of enhancing Yemen's economic recovery financed by the European Union.
Minister Batheeb praised efforts exerted by the organization, which trained150 trainers from targeted institutions in field of tax policies, reforming public finance, combating corruption and enhancing the role of the Private Sector.
For her part, the head of the organization's delegation confirmed readiness to expand technical support to Yemen during the forthcoming period in the framework of economic recovery and peacebuilding.
