The Governor of Shabwa Awadh bin al-Wazir discussed Thursday with Julian Reichmann, the country director for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Belgium in the Middle East the organization's operations, future projects, and interventions in the governorate.
During the meeting, held via video conferencing, the governor reviewed efforts to develop the health sector, emphasizing the local authority's commitment to attracting more quality interventions that contribute to improving public health indicators and reducing mortality rates in the governorate.
He highlighted the benefits derived from the humanitarian interventions of the organization at Shabwa General Hospital for Mother and Child, aimed at enhancing its medical capabilities and improving the quality of services for mothers and children.
For his part, the MSF official confirmed readiness to increase support for the governorate, work on improving rapid response levels, and provide various forms of urgent life-saving interventions.
