The Bulgarian Tourist Union (BTU) will organize a hike for hundreds of mountain lovers, starting from the Ivan Vazov National Theatre to Mt. Cherni Vrah, to celebrate 130 years of organized tourism in Bulgaria.
The trail is inspired by the route which Aleko Konstantinov took 130 years ago, when he initiated organized tourism in Bulgaria.
The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported that the anniversary celebrations will take place from August 27 to 31 in Sofia and on Vitosha Mountain and will combine commemorative ceremonies, processions, sports competitions and concerts.
