Displaced people in Marib express disappointment of international protection
[07/02/2022 07:01]
MARIB-SABA
Displaced Persons at Sweida'a Camp here carried out a sit-in on Monday denouncing continuous Houthi militia's crimes and attacks against civilians and displaced people in Marib.

The Displaced People expressed their regret over negligence of UN and its envoy for Yemen and all UN and international organizations interested in human rights protection for providing them and civilians in Marib necessary protection against Houthi militia's repeated attacks.

They demanded the UN and international community to exert pressure on Houthi militia to stop their terrorist attacks against them and take legal actions against the militia's leaders.

They confirmed that the Iran- backed militia is still continuing its barbaric crimes against civilians and displaced people in Marib, shelling the city of Marib and camps of displaced people by ballistic rockets and bombed drones.

They considered international community's silence towards Houthi crimes against displaced people in Marib and civilians during the past years an encouragement to the militia to continue its crimes and commit more malicious ones.

They demanded the international community, the UN, the Security Council and High Commission of Human Rights to shoulder their humanitarian and legal responsibilities towards civilians and displaced people in Marib and to work on punishing leaders of the militia and bring them to justice.
