The Yemeni government denounced the heinous crime committed by Houthi militia against the African migrants held in the Houthi militia's jails in Sana'a.
The Ministry of Human Rights said in a press release learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) "we were sadly informed about killing and hurting scores of the African nationals in the Houthi militia's prisons, though the crime has been strictly kept hidden by the militiamen primary information suggest some 170 casualties, killed, injured".
The Ministry called on the UNHCHR and the UNHCR to conduct transparent investigation into the incident to find out the truth".
