The United States Embassy in Yemen has commended the Yemeni security forces in Marib for the successful interdiction of over 70 kilograms of hashish hidden in a vehicle coming from areas controlled by the Houthi militia.

In a statement, the embassy said, "We commend the Yemeni security forces in Marib for their successful interdiction of more than 70 kilograms of hashish hidden in a vehicle coming from areas controlled by the Houthi militia."

It said, "This operation underscores the Yemeni government's crucial role in protecting Yemenis from the dangers of illegal drugs and disrupting Houthi militia's illicit revenue streams.
