Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr Ebtihaj al-Kamal said that Iran-allied Houthi militia's coup resulted in sacking some 5 million workers about 60% of labor force in private sector in Yemen as national and foreign companies have ceased to operate in the country.
In statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on May Day al-Kamal stated that government has been making its own best to improve economic situation through reinvigorating development programs and projects in different fields.
The Minister touched upon government's measures aimed to improve peoples' living conditions, citing President Hadi's decree about 30% increase in salaries for all government's employees.
