PM, Swedish FM discuss efforts to implement Stockholm Agreement

Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalek and the Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström have discussed the diplomatic and political efforts being exerted to pressure the Houthis to carry out the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
In a meeting in Geneva today, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen in the light of the peace agreement reached between the government and the coupist militia in Sweden on December 13, which stipulate the withdrawal of the militia from the city and ports of Hodeidah, the exchange of all prisoners and abductees, the opening of a humanitarian passageway to Taiz city.
The also discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the possible areas where Sweden can support the Yemeni government with a view to helping it normalize the situation in the recaptured areas ease the humanitarian crisis, combat terrorism and launch reconstruction and development projects.
The Prime Minister reiterated the openness of the government to all political solutions that may spare Yemen further destruction and bloodshed.
He pointed to the government's interest to have the Stockholm Agreement implemented in a straightforwardly way without dividing it into parts and without foot-dragging (by the Houthis).
