The Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan discussed today, Thursday, with the Acting US Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Neil Hopp aspects of security cooperation.

General Haidan greatly appreciated the US significant support to Yemen in the field of border security and coast guard, highlighting the need to expand the scope of cooperation in fighting organized crime and terrorism.

The two sides underscored the importance of promoting joint coordination and cooperation to serve the mutual interests.

The American diplomat stated that his administration is interested in boosting security cooperation and upgrading the capacities of the interior ministry.
