Saudi air defenses intercept Houthi ballistic missile fired toward Najran

The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces on Friday intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis from
Amran in north Yemen in the direction of civilian populated areas in the Saudi city of Najran, said the spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab Coalition supporting Yemen’s government.

In a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency, Col. Turki Al-Maliki said that the missile were deliberately fired to target residential areas, and fragments of the destroyed missiles sprinkled over neighborhoods but fortunately no casualties have been reported yet.

"This hostile act by the Iran-backed rebel militia proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the militia with quality capabilities in a clear defiance of the UN resolution no. 2216 and resolution no. 2231 to threaten the security of the kingdom and the regional and international security."
