The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Fatah explores wish USAID support for income-generate enterprises in Yemen

Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee—met Tuesday with the Director of the USAID in Yemen David Harden and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting intended to explore American support for relief and development projects in our country.
Fatah highlighted the need for funding income-generate projects and supporting Yemeni government in this area. He stated that the Supreme Relief Committee has been working with all donors to establish the second phase of Relief Campaign that aims to ensure support for developmental projects, at the same time to maintain urgent relief actions until humanitarian catastrophe created by Houth militia coup is overcome.
The Minister handed over the USAID Director several proposals of relief and income generate enterprises that need to be funded in some provinces. He noted that the Yemeni government is looking for more partnership with the USAID in different fields.
Mr Harden promised to study the proposal and explore possibilities to support and finance such proposals.
