Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Governor of Hadhramaut governorate Salem al-Khanbashi received today, Sunday, in the city of al-Mukalla, a delegation from the Dutch Embassy in the Republic of Yemen and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The delegation headed by Dutch Deputy Ambassador Bart Veenstra, included FAO representatives and specialists.
Al-Khanbashi welcomed the delegation, celebrated the deep-rooted Yemeni-Dutch relations, deeply appreciating the Netherlands' significant contribution to the development actions in Yemen, greatly valued the FAO's interventions in the fields of food security, development and water.
The discussions covered the Dutch funded projects and the FAO's interventions in Hadramout.
The meeting emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and partnership between the local authority in Hadramout governorate, the Dutch government and the FAO in order to contribute toward improving food and water security and achieving sustainable development in the governorate.
