[02/08/2017 01:46]

ABYAN-SABA
Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghrpaid an inspection visit to the Public Prosecution office in Abyan province today and was updated on the prosecution's role in resolving legal issues.

The premier hailed the efforts of the prosecution staff in guarding their office against looting, a problem that occurred to government offices in other provinces.

The premier said that the governor is working hard to activate the role of judiciary, public prosecutions and police stations in order to restore life back to normal.

The premier also visited the Delta Cotton Factory and the Cotton Gin in Zunjubar. The premier was briefed by the officials on the function of the gin after the government had paid 30 million to resume its operation with two production lines.

He said the government is working to rehabilitate the gin to come back to its full scale production capacity. "The wheel of development will roll again in Abyan. The return of the gin to operation is itself a real good news for the cotton farmers who had been out of business for long as a result of the Saleh-Houthi rebels' war."
