Cristiano Ronaldo played a crucial role in the win, scoring Portugal's equalizing goal in the 65th minute. He also won the tournament's top scorer award with eight goals.

The Portuguese team's goalkeeper, Diogo Costa, made a key save during the penalty shootout, contributing to the team's success.
