[23/06/2025 07:03]
ADEN - SABA
The Supreme Energy Council approved, during its meeting on Monday a number of urgent emergency solutions to provide the necessary fuel for electricity stations in Aden.

This aims to increase generation capacities and meet the rising demand with the onset of summer, alleviating the suffering of citizens.

Presided over by the Chairman of Energy Council, who is the Prime Minister Salem bin Breik, the council discussed the current situation of electricity stations, evaluated the performance level in the generation, transmission, and distribution sectors, assessed the required fuel quantities and proposals for their provision, as well as possible alternatives to address the urgent challenges, especially with the increasing loads during the summer season.

It also reviewed technical and procedural reports related to the status of generation stations.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government fully recognizes that citizens are not waiting for statements or meetings, but are seeking practical solutions to their daily hardships.

The government is treating the electricity issue as a vital service out of its national responsibility, rather than as a seasonal or circumstantial crisis.

He called on citizens to understand the nature of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through, confirming that the government is making every effort to find realistic solutions despite the complexities.

He assured that it will not hesitate to take any steps that contribute to improving essential services, especially electricity, while appreciating the support of the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to implement urgent emergency measures and supply fuel to generating stations to increase generation capacities, overcoming the technical and administrative challenges that hinder service stability.
