KUWAIT-SABA

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed on Tuesday with Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society Khaled Al-Mughamis ways to strengthen humanitarian cooperation and expand programmes and projects aimed at supporting Yemen.

The meeting reviewed priority humanitarian needs and ways to develop existing cooperation. The two sides agreed to prepare proposals for projects and programmes addressing the most urgent needs, in coordination with relevant institutions and partner organisations in Yemen.

Dr. al-Zouba praised the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society's humanitarian role in supporting the Yemeni people and its assistance and projects over the years in the health, education, relief and humanitarian sectors.

For his part, Al-Mughamis affirmed the society's continued commitment to supporting the Yemeni people and its readiness to consider priority projects and proposals within its available capacities, contributing to recovery efforts and improving living conditions for the most vulnerable groups.
