Minister of Justice Judge Badr al-Aridha discussed Tuesday with the French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Corm-Kammon ways to support and enhance joint cooperation in the judicial field.
The meeting, held via video conferencing, reviewed the coordination between the ministries of justice in both countries, in addition to discussing areas of cooperation in developing the judicial system, which contributes to strengthening the rule of law and establishing principles of justice.
The Minister of Justice emphasized the importance of partnership with the French party in supporting the ministry's efforts to improve judicial performance, praising the French role in supporting justice institutions in Yemen.
He noted that the ministry is keen to implement several programs to develop judicial infrastructure, update national legislation and enhance the transition to electronic judicial systems in line with modern developments.
For her part, the French ambassador confirmed her country's continued support for the Ministry of Justice, the automation of the judicial system, and the development of criminal legislation, which enhances the efficiency of the justice system.
