Yemen's Ambassador to China Dr. Mohammed al-Maitami discussed Friday with Wei Qingchen, Director-General of the Department of West Asia and North Africa at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the humanitarian situation in Yemen due to the war ignited by the Houthi terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime.
Ambassador al-Maitami emphasized the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibilities towards the suffering of the Yemeni people and supporting all efforts aimed at ending the war and achieving comprehensive and just peace that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security and stability.
For his part, the Chinese official expressed his country's solidarity with Yemen and its people, affirming China's consistent position regarding Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He also confirmed support for efforts to achieve peace and end the Yemeni crisis.
