His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council PLC), left today, Tuesday, the temporary capital of Aden, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on his way to the Arab Republic of Egypt at the invitation of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to contribute to the World Urban Forum, which set to start next week.

A source in the Office of the Republic Presidency said that the Chairman of the PLC is set to hold consultations in Riyadh with regional and international actors within the next couple of days on the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena, ways to mobilize support to the comprehensive reforms implemented by the government and to manage the economic challenges and the humanitarian repercussions exacerbated by the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lines.

The presidential source stated that the PLC and the government are very keen to assume full responsibility to alleviate living conditions, work on implementing an economic rescue plan, take the necessary measures to control the public budget deficit, , mitigate the side effects of price fluctuations on living conditions, and maintaining attention on the fateful battle to restore the state's institutions and eliminate the Iran-backed Houthi militias'coup.

In this context, the presidential source praised the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and regional and international partners in supporting the government's efforts to deliver on its obligations, most important of all is the payment of employees' salaries and the provision of basic goods and services.
