Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak met Sunday with the Head of the Security and Military Committee Major General Haitham Qasim Taher.

The Prime Minister listened to the achievements of the committee since its formation, its future plans, and the aspects of cooperation required from the government to achieve the goals of improving the performance of the armed forces and security, and to ensure their integration within the framework of the rule of law.

The Prime Minister affirmed the government's support for the committee's work to enhance the efficiency of the armed forces and security.

He directed the Ministries of Defense and Interior to facilitate the committee's work and implement its recommendations.

The Prime Minister highlighted the government's ongoing reforms in the military and security institutions, including the implementation of a biometric system for its members and improving spending efficiency to enhance the combat capabilities and infrastructure of the armed forces and security.
