TAIZ-SABA
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) has underscored the pivotal role of Taiz governorate in the national equation as it has been famous for making transformations, serving as hotbed of change and stronghold for struggle movements and national liberation in the North and South of the country.

He made his statement during meeting today, Tuesday, along with the two members of the PLC Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujalli with the leadership of the local authority, political constituencies, representatives of womenfolk and youths in Taiz governorate.

He said" Taiz which produced the leading revolutionist al-Noaman and his great men and women companions and it embraced al-Zubairi, Ali Abdul Moghni al-Sha'bi, Labuza and Badhib ( names of the great Yemeni revolutionists who contributed to the Yemeni Revolutions of the 26th of September in the north and the 14th October in the south of Yemen) it was a launching pad to defend Sana'a in the north and a safe- haven and a non-stop supply line for the liberation of the south, will remain memorable in the national memory as a producer of transformations, the hotbed of change, and the stronghold of steadfastness and the resistance of racism and tyranny.

He added" We're here today, the PLC's members and the companying consultative ministerial team to glorify the steadfastness of the heroes and brave fellow citizens of this governorate in defending the republic, freedom, dignity and the values of justice and equality against the outdated imamate proposal that our people had managed to eliminate and bury it forever seven decades ago".

The President noted that Taiz, which had been well-known as the goddess of fertility, a niche of love and an everlasting story, it is also the glory, the coast and the ancient port and the most prominent and civilized capital of a state of law in medieval history, the most eternal memory and the greatest fame, generosity and sacrifice.

He also touted Taiz as the strong hold of al-Tuba'a the Great who provided the first ideal notion for defeating the racism and the Imamate conception by his Rasulayde enlightening state approach that left rich historical landmarks including schools, bastions and scientists, while the Imamate rulers both the ancients and recent ones only left a legacy of bloodshed, history of invasions and lootings.

He added, "From here, the revolutionists of September and October Revolutions passed together, including the trio of victory in the Epic of the Seventy-day battle, Judge al-Iryani, Lieutenant General al-Amari and Captain Abdul-Raqib Abdul-Wahab and the martyr Ahmed Saif al-Yafei personified the values of cohesion between the north and the south in the best way."

He went on saying: "Here today in this hall, once again their children and grandchildren gather from all over Yemen to affirm that they are all in another legendary epic that has no choice but to win and build a fair federal state."

The President touched upon the challenges and the concerns the fellow citizens in Taiz have been experiencing first of all are the electricity, water and all basic services. He stressed that sustainable services can only be realized by bringing our exhausted country back to the right and normal path as a secure, independent and stable nation, active member in the Arab Gulf, Arab and international community.

The Chairman of the PLC touched also upon all proposals the PLC and the government submitted in order to engage the militias in the peace making process saying" but we did not get a common ground with them to move forward on this path, they have only war and destruction as a zero choice".

He stated that it is a top priority to sustain the steadfastness of this governorate, alleviate the suffering of its population, create job opportunities, developing educational system, improving its local resources and provide the families and the wounded servicemen with the necessary care and support.

The President noted that he commenced this inspection visit the governorate by launching over 260 projects funded by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the local authority in all walks of life.

He cited the challenges and the obstacles that reduce the potentials to achieve the legitimate aspirations of the fellow citizens in Taiz and other government-held governorates, particularly in terms of the strategic projects due to the devastating attacks of the Houthi terrorist militias on the oil facilities that deprived the state general budget of some 70 percent of its major resources.

He said ""So, the projects that we are launching or laying the foundation stone for today are mostly supported by our brothers in Saudi Arabia, foremost of which are the Colleges of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, the oncology center, the city's power station with a capacity of thirty megawatts, in addition to the strategic of al-Turbah-Lahj highway, the Teaching Hospital, and a College of Dentistry, besides the projects implemented by the United Arabic Emirates in the western coast districts of the governorate."
The Chairman of the PLC highly appreciated the noble grant by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that has been very helpful, enabled the government to keep on delivering on its obligations, including regular pay of the government employees' salaries.
