Committee to inspect flood-impacted areas west Taiz formed

Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan directed Saturday the formation of a committee headed by the Deputy Governor for Coastal Affairs Engineer Rashad al-Akhali to inspect the areas impacted by the rain and heavy floods in Maqbanah District west of the city.
The committee included the membership of the general managers of the Agriculture, Public Works and Roads and the General Authority for Rural Water offices in the governorate, and the director general of the Maqbanah District to inspect and monitor damages witnessed by Maqbanah District during the past hours over the torrential floods.
Yesterday Friday heavy rains and floods hit Maqbanah District, leaving extensive damage to properties and infrastructure in a number of villages in the district and cut off the main and secondary roads.
