His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) along with the member of the Council Othman Mujalli hold a meeting today, Monday, at the Republican Palace in al-Mukalla of Hadramout governorate, with the Revered religious scholars and mosques' speakers and the committee tasked with reconciliation among the fellow citizens, with the presence of Hadramout Governor Mabkhot bin Madhi.
The President highly praised the significant role of the religious scholars, preachers and mosques' orators in promoting tolerance and social coherence in Hadramout governorate throughout Yemen's Islamic history.
He argued that religious preachers and scholars have a significant duty to do more than preaching and guiding given that they considered to be thinkers and social reformers.
He also highly praised Hadramout's enlightening role in promoting religious tolerance and enriching Islamic jurisdictions and pluralism.
The Chairman of the PLC urged Revered preachers and mosques' speakers to immunize the young generation against extremism and the terrorist views and ideas.
He noted that the PLC, the government and all Yemenis significantly count on the Reverend religious scholars in strengthening the national unity and amplifying it to counter the Iranian-Imamate spoiler scheme in the region.
President al-Alimi urged the Revered scholars and preachers to intensify their role in renouncing sectarian, tribal and regional division.
He also emphatically stressed that it is very important to keep mosques and worship facilities out of the political disputes.
The member of the PLC Othman Mujalli talked about the importance of Hadramout government and its key role in the national equation and political future.
He also cited the Houthi militias' grave violations of human rights and the international law.
