Vice Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nizar Basuhayb met today, Sunday, in the transitional capital Aden, with the newly appointed Country Director of Care for Children Organization in Yemen Mohammed Manna'a.
They discussed the organizations' programs and interventions this year.
It is important to note that the organization carried out projects last year with an amount of $5 million in the two governorates of Lahj and Taiz in the field of food security, nutrition and cash for food. It also carried out one more project in Taiz aimed to raise awareness about the diabetes illness with at total amount 999 thousand euro.
Basuhayb deeply appreciated the organization's humanitarian actions to help children in Yemen.
On another development, the Vice Minister discussed with the Deputy Director of the (OCHA) in Yemen Sa'eed Jarsi joint efforts to deal with current humanitarian challenges.
He stated that the government is keenly seeking to further increase partnership with the UN's agency and international organizations, highlighting the pressing need for greater humanitarian interventions amid the extremely economic hardships the country has been struggling with.
