Yemen praises Coalition allocation of USD 1.5 billion for relief

In an address to top brass security officials attending the Interior Ministry's annual ceremony in Aden on Wednesday, Prime Minister Ahmed bin Daghr said "we should not forget that we are in a state of war against a barbaric enemy." He was referring to the radical Houthi rebels. "(It is) an enemy who, in hostility, does not discriminate between a northerner or a southerner, does not know the meaning of nationalism ... did not stop at Hashed or Amran but overran Sana'a, then Taiz, Ibb and Dhamar" provinces.

Saudi Arabia's Cabinet has welcomed the pledge of more than $1.5 billion in aid as part of a massive humanitarian relief campaign that Saudi Arabia itself spearheads. The aid campaign was inaugurated in Riyadh on Monday and will continue in the form of multiple daily flights laden with aid to Yemen.
