Yemen's Permanent Representative to the UN Abdullah Assa'di said" Houthi militia's crimes against the civilians have gone so far, the militiamen have embarked on taken the population as hostages in entire cities and villages, making them as human shields, using schools as weapons depots, public buildings as detention centers, stationing snipers on the houses' rooftops to bombard the civilians".
