Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed Sunday with French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Testu developments in national arena, efforts exerted for realizing peace in Yemen and dangers posed by Safir Oil Tanker, stranded off Hodeida coast.
Al-Hadhrami confirmed keenness of the government of Yemen for reaching to inclusive and sustainable political settlement on the bases of the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council's Resolution 2216.
He stressed significance of full commitment to the mechanism of speeding up implementation of Riyadh Agreement, pointing out to government's keenness on implementing all articles included in the agreement, which aims at protecting security, stability and unity of Yemen.
He warned of Houthi militia's tricks regarding the tanker's issue and making illogical conditions before the United Nations, pointing out that such approach will endanger Yemen and the whole region, as well as the international maritime navigation.
He called for exerting continuous pressure on Houthi militia by the UN Security Council and the international community for making final solution to this issue.
For his part, the French diplomat expressed pleasure regarding progress made in implementation of Riyadh Agreement, showing his support to efforts exerted by the UN envoy to Yemen for reaching to political settlement.
