Houthi Terrorist Militias landmines kill 1104, injuring 1429 civilians in 9 years—Report
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms reported that the Iranian-backed Houthi Terrorist Militias-laid landmines killed 1104 and injured 1429 civilians during the time from January 2017 to March 2026. For material damages, 2414 incidents were reported due to the anti-personnel and anti-armor landmines planted randomly by the militiamen.

Deputy Foreign Minister affirms government's support for sustainable peace

Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Mansour Baggash confirmed the Yemeni government's clear stance in support of any steps toward achieving a comprehensive and fair peace based on the agreed on references that cater the Yemeni people's aspirations for equal citizenship, violence-free live, no racial discrimination and no claims to have a divine right to rule and to assume power through armed militias.

Speaking at the ministerial gathering of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Azerbaijan capital, Baku, he reiterated the government's support for the ongoing good offices have been made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to renew the UN-brokered truce.

Baggash blamed Iran-backed Houthi militias for its failure to fulfill its obligations under the agreement of the UN-brokered truce.

He said" Instead of demonstrating good faith and responding constructively to the government's initiatives the militias have continued to wage their economic war on the government preventing commercial ships from access to oil exports seaports, staunchly seeking to stop the employees' regular salary paying in the government-held governorates".

The Deputy Foreign Minister stated that the Houthi militia's failure to honor its obligations under the truce agreement and its continuing economic war on the Yemeni people have made it clear that these militias' reject the peace.
